Take your glassblowing skills to the next level by moving beyond the cup. In this intermediate class, you will expand on basic vessel forms by exploring new techniques and shapes while refining your understanding of heat and timing to blow glass quicker and thinner.
Prerequisite: Hot 1 or 24 hours equivalent hot glass experience with instructor permission is required.

Dive into the possibilities of sculptural glass in this open-projects class designed for those seeking the time, space, and technical support to bring their casting ideas to life. You’ll work with a variety of mold-making and forming strategies suited to your individual project goals, with guidance on everything from surface detail to structural design. Explore the freedom of lost-wax casting to translate your ideas into glass, capturing intricate textures, fine details, and complex shapes with precision.
Scale and complexity of projects will be chosen with assistance from the instructor and will be based on the four-week class time allotted. Come with multiple ideas!
Prerequisite: Introduction to Casting or 24 hours equivalent casting experience with instructor approval required

Stained Glass in the Fast Lane
An 8-week curriculum, accelerated into just 4 weeks.
Enjoy all the fun of an 8-week course in half the time. Explore the Tiffany method of stained glass while creating your very own panel from a variety of provided patterns. Learn the basic skills of cutting and shaping sheet glass, foiling, and soldering to create a panel you will proudly display. No experience necessary.
You will experience the same number of contact hours as students attending the once-a-week, 8-week classes, but in a condensed, 4-week format.

Coldworking Open Projects
Prerequisite: Introduction to Coldworking, or equivalent 24 hours of coldworking experience with instructor permission is required.

Drawing with Glass: An Introduction to Stringer Drawing
Learn how to draw with glass. In this 4-week course, you will learn a variety of stringer pulling techniques, watch detailed demonstrations, and use hand torches to gain the skills required to create one-of-a-kind borosilicate glass drawings. This class is great for a beginner flameworker or someone looking to expand their skills at the torch. You are encouraged to bring reference images and ideas that we can help you bring to life in glass.

Hot Glass in the Fast Lane
An 8-week curriculum, accelerated into just 4 weeks.
Explore glassblowing in just 4-weeks! Learn to gather molten glass from the furnace, and then sculpt it into various forms, from paperweights to simple blown shapes, like cups and bowls.
Focus will be placed on the team approach to glassblowing and will emphasize safety, proper tool use, basic techniques, and materials.
This class is appropriate whether you have limited hot shop experience or none at all. You will experience the same number of contact hours as students attending the once-a-week, 8-week classes, but in a condensed, 4-week format.
There are two options: One class meets twice a week on both Tuesday and Thursday; the other is a longer day on Saturdays.
