An 8-week curriculum, accelerated into just 4 weeks.

After learning the basics of stained glass construction in the introductory or intermediate stained glass classes, we invite you to continue to develop your skills in Stained Glass Open Projects. This is a class for those who want to challenge themselves to explore the art of stained glass at their own skill level under the guidance of an instructor. Class projects will be limited to no larger than 16"x18" and students may be required to purchase some of their own materials if the studio glass selection does not meet their specific needs.

You will experience the same number of contact hours as students attending the once-a-week, 8-week classes, but in a condensed, 4-week format.

Class tuition includes 1 session of open-studio time per student to be used during the 4-week course period if needed to complete your project.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Stained Glass or 24 hours of stained glass experience with instructor permission is required.

Ages 14+

Get ready to be bowl-ed over by the magic of molten glass. In this introductory workshop, you’ll gather molten glass from the 2,100°F furnace and choose and add color. Then guided by a skilled instructor, you will blow and shape it into vibrant double-walled blown glass bowls.

This workshop is a fun introductory experience to glassblowing. Each participant will craft two bowls, ideal for holding small items, serving snacks, displaying jewelry, or adding a funky decorative touch to any space.

Due to the nature of hot glass, your items will be available for pickup 5 days after your activity.

PGC 123 Tweet yourself to something new. In this introductory workshop, heat glass rods using a 3,000°F torch and learn to shape into simple bird forms. Guided by a skilled instructor, learn torch basics and add color to make these one-of-a-kind creations. Add a glass loop to make it a pendant or keep them as cute sculptures perfect to wear, share, or show off.

PGC 123 It’s alive… in glass. In this introductory workshop, spark your imagination as you twist, melt, and sculpt your own glass monsters and mythical creatures using a 3,000°F torch. Guided by a skilled instructor, learn torch basics and add colors, texture, and personality. Add a glass loop or keep them as sculptures, perfect to wear, share, or show off.

PGC 123 Create a beautiful glass home for your favorite air plants. In this introductory workshop, you will gather glass from the 2,100°F furnace and add color. Then, guided by a skilled instructor, you will blow, shape, and sculpt it into a one-of-a-kind terrarium.

This workshop is a fun introductory experience into hot glassblowing. Each participant will craft two blown glass terrariums, perfect for displaying your air plants, cuttings, or trinkets. (Air plants not included.)
