Under the guidance of a skilled instructor you’ll learn to cut, shape, and assemble glass into delicate wings. Then you’ll solder your creation with glass gems into a charming, decorative piece. A perfect project for beginners who love colorful, nature-inspired art.

Mosaic
Discover the timeless art of glass mosaics. Using colorful sheet glass, you’ll design and lay out your own pattern or image on a wooden backing to create a stunning wall piece. Learn the basics of mosaic layout, cutting, and assembly while exploring endless color and texture combinations.
We’ll provide a grouting demonstration, and you’ll finish your mosaic at home using the grout supplied in class to give your glue time to dry.

Flameworked Drink Set
PGC 123 Mix up some fun with this flame shop sampler. In this introductory workshop, create a set of glass swizzle sticks and a coordinating bottle stopper. Guided by a skilled instructor, learn to heat, shape, and add color to glass using a 3,000°F torch while making functional and fabulous drink accessories. Perfect for entertaining, gifting, or adding whimsy to your home bar.

Blown Glass Suncatchers
Catch the light in glass. In this introductory workshop, you’ll gather molten glass from the 2,100°F furnace and add color. Then guided by a skilled instructor, you will blow and shape it into stunning glass suncatchers.
This workshop is a fun introductory experience to hot glassblowing. Each participant will create two unique suncatchers, perfect for hanging in a window or adding a touch of sparkle anywhere.

Seminar: Neon Pattern Design Fundamentals

A well-crafted pattern is the foundation of every successful neon piece. In this seminar-style class, you'll explore both analog and digital tools for designing patterns specifically for neon bending. Learn how to break down complex shapes into achievable bends, plan efficient bending sequences, and apply essential design principles to create patterns that translate seamlessly into glass.
Through guided demonstrations and hands-on exercises, you'll develop a deeper understanding of how to balance aesthetics with functionality, ensuring your designs are not only visually compelling but also structurally sound. Whether you prefer hand-drawn sketches or digital drafting, this class will equip you with the skills to refine your neon planning process and set yourself up for success in the bending studio.

Note: This is a seminar style class that will meet in the PGC Classroom. A laptop is required for this class to work with digital tools such as Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape.
