Blown Glass Suncatchers
Catch the light in glass. In this introductory workshop, you’ll gather molten glass from the 2,100°F furnace and add color. Then guided by a skilled instructor, you will blow and shape it into stunning glass suncatchers.
This workshop is a fun introductory experience to hot glassblowing. Each participant will create two unique suncatchers, perfect for hanging in a window or adding a touch of sparkle anywhere.
Ages 14+
Due to the nature of hot glass, your items will be available for pickup 5 days after your activity.
Waves Through Space: Color Theory and Suspended Forms
with Kacie Lees
Light is energy in motion—electromagnetic pulses that radiate through space. In this immersive, hands-on neon intensive, you will explore light not just as a physical phenomenon, but as a material for glowing, sculptural expression.
After an introduction to the physics of lightwaves and the chromatic composition of neon phosphors and gas, we will move into the lab to shape vibrant colors into fluid forms on the ribbon burner. Students will explore motion, energy, and spatial presence and learn how to safely install their sweeping gestures suspended from above. Basic sign-making techniques, including traditional bends, wall-mounting, and wiring, will be covered.
This five-day class is ideal for both beginners and experienced makers seeking to expand their practice.
Additional Class Materials + Fees
- $60 for neon transformer
- A blowhose is required is required for this class. Students may bring their own or blow hose kits will be on site for purchase for $40.
Evening Open Studio
Studios are open until 9:30PM for students to practice. Depending on the class, process, and techniques, this time might be highly suggested by instructors for students to use. In other classes, this time might be considered optional.

Plate Glass Printmaking
Discover the art of printmaking with glass. In this introductory workshop, you’ll use cold shop etching tools to engrave your own glass plate and create a unique design. Once your plate is complete, you’ll bring your artwork to life with ink, transferring your design onto paper.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with both your engraved glass plate and your printed work, ready to display, gift, or admire.

Sculpted Glass Succulents
Grow your creativity and no green thumb required. In this introductory workshop, you’ll gather glass from the 2,100°F furnace and add color. Then guided by a skilled instructor, you will sculpt and blow your own unique glass succulents. No sunlight or soil required.
This workshop is a fun introductory experience into hot glassblowing and hot glass sculpting. Each participant will craft two whimsical succulents, perfect for display, gifting, or brightening any space with a touch of glassy greenery.

Blown Glass Garden Floats
Create a luminous glass sphere that floats and delights. In this introductory workshop, you’ll gather molten glass from the 2,100°F furnace and add colors of your choice. Then guided by a skilled instructor, you will blow and shape it into fun and funky blown glass garden floats. This workshop is a fun introductory experience to glassblowing. Each participant will craft two garden floats, perfect to hang inside, display outside, or float in a pond or birdbath.

TEENS ONLY! Sculpted Glass Succulents
TEENS ONLY workshops are a great introduction to the world of glassmaking, just for teens. Teens will step into the PGC studios and explore the heat, color, and creativity of working with glass in the flame shop, hot shop, kiln shop, or cold shop– alongside other teens. Teens can come solo and make new friends who share an interest in glassmaking, or sign up with a friend to share in the experience.

Turn your next snack spread into a showstopper. In this introductory workshop, you’ll design and fuse your very own glass charcuterie board, perfect for cheese, crackers, and a conversation starter. Under the guidance of a skilled instructor, learn how to cut, design, and assemble colorful sheet glass, glass granules (frit), and thin glass rods (stringers) into bold designs. Once you design it, we’ll fuse it in the kiln. Charcuterie not included.
Completed charcuterie plates are 8" x 8".

Blown Glass Terrariums
Create a beautiful glass home for your favorite air plants. In this introductory workshop, you will gather glass from the 2,100°F furnace and add color. Then, guided by a skilled instructor, you will blow, shape, and sculpt it into a one-of-a-kind terrarium.
This workshop is a fun introductory experience into hot glassblowing. Each participant will craft two blown glass terrariums, perfect for displaying your air plants, cuttings, or trinkets. (Air plants not included.)
