Flameworked Acorns

Gather a little forest charm. In this introductory workshop, create delicate, colorful glass acorns using a 3,000°F torch. Guided by a skilled instructor, learn torch basics and explore shaping and texturing techniques to form smooth bodies and detailed caps. Add a loop to make it a pendant or keep it as a mini sculpture. Fun to make, beautiful to display, and perfect to keep or gift.

Sculpted Glass Flowers

Let your creativity bloom. In this introductory workshop, you’ll gather molten glass from the 2,100°F furnace and add color. Then guided by a skilled instructor, you will pull, shape, stretch, and sculpt it into colorful flowers.

This workshop is a fun introductory experience to hot glass sculpting. Each participant will craft two unique flowers, ideal for display, gifting, or brightening any space.

Due to the nature of hot glass, your items will be available for pickup 5 days after your activity.

Beads

Melt, twirl, and spin your way to tiny works of art. In this introductory workshop, you’ll heat glass rods over a 3,000°F torch and learn to shape, layer, and decorate your very own beads. Guided by a skilled instructor, add dots, trails, and swirls to make colorful creations that are perfect to wear, share, or show off.

 

 

Due to the nature of hot glass, your items will be available for pickup 5 days after your activity.

Sandblasted Pumpkins

PGC 222 Put your personal touch on handblown glass pumpkins. In this introductory workshop, you’ll start with two clear glass pumpkins hand crafted by our glass artists and use an industrial sandblaster to create your own designs, playful faces, names, patterns, or other details. With guidance from an experienced instructor, you’ll transform each piece into something uniquely your own.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with both of your sandblasted pumpkins, ready to display or give as gifts. One pumpkin has an opening at the base, perfect for adding fairy lights (not included) to create a glowing seasonal luminary.

Make Your Own Goblet

Create your own distinctive glass goblet in this immersive two-day introductory workshop, combining both hot and cold glass techniques. In the first session, work in the hot shop under the guidance of skilled instructors to gather, color, and shape molten glass from the 2,100°F furnace, forming the foot and stem of your goblet.

 

In the second session, transition to the cold shop to etch and sandblast a pre-made top, adding personalized designs that make your vessel truly unique. Instructors will also guide you through cutting, gluing, and assembling your pieces to create a functional and striking final goblet.

 

This workshop is a great introductory experience in both hot and cold glass processes, resulting in a one-of-a-kind piece you’ll be proud to take home.

 

 

Ghosts and Ghouls

Get spooky. In this introductory workshop, sculpt playful glass ghosts or ghouls using a 3,000°F tabletop torch. Guided by a skilled instructor, you’ll learn how to melt and shape a solid rod into a molten form while swirling in color to create a whimsical seasonal spooky creature. Add a loop to make it a pendant, a magnet, or keep them as mini sculptures. Fun to make and a perfect whimsical nod to the season.

Blown Glass Shabbat Candle Holders

PGC 155 Illuminate your rituals with the beauty of blown glass. In this introductory workshop, you will gather glass from the 2,100°F furnace and add colors of your choice. Then, guided by a skilled instructor, you’ll blow and shape the glass into elegant Shabbat candle holders, designed to reflect and amplify the warmth of candlelight.

This workshop is a fun introduction to hot glassblowing. Each participant will create a pair of blown glass candle holders perfect for marking Shabbat, celebrating tradition, or bringing a meaningful, handmade glow into your home.

Fused Glass Dish

Turn sheets of glass into a sparkling, functional work of art. In this introductory workshop, you’ll learn to cut sheet glass into geometric shapes and combine them with frit (colored glass granules) and stringers (thin colored glass rods) to design a one-of-a-kind dish.

 

Once your design is complete, we’ll fire it in the kiln to fuse everything together and then shape it in a mold, creating a beautiful and functional piece. Perfect for holding spare change, serving small snacks, displaying jewelry, or simply adding a touch of glassy sparkle to your space.
