Give your empty bottles and jars a second life. In this introductory workshop, you’ll transform everyday glass into beautiful and functional pieces like drinking glasses, vases, candle holders, or unique decor.
Bring 2–4 clean bottles or jars, and a skilled instructor will guide you through cutting, grinding, polishing, sandblasting, and engraving to create your own custom designs.
To make the most of your creative time, please remove any paper labels before the workshop.

Flameworked Frit Pendants
PGC 174 Ignite your creativity. In this introductory workshop, create a wearable glass pendant using a 3,000°F torch. Guided by a skilled instructor, learn torch basics and explore techniques like shaping and adding colorful glass frit to create swirling, one-of-a-kind designs. Add a handmade touch to your jewelry collection.
Blown Glass Pumpkins
Carve out some fun with molten glass pumpkins. In this introductory workshop, you’ll gather glowing molten glass from the 2,100°F furnace and add colors of your choice. Then guided by a skilled instructor, you will blow and sculpt it into beautiful pumpkins with curly stems. This workshop is a fun introductory experience into hot glassblowing. Each participant will make two blown pumpkins, perfect for harvesting compliments at home, gifting to a loved one, or adding a decorative touch to any space.
Due to the nature of hot glass, your items will be available for pickup 5 days after your activity.
Flamecicles
PGC 166 Catch the winter light. In this introductory workshop, create shimmering glass flamecicles using a 3,000°F torch. Guided by a skilled instructor, learn torch basics and explore shaping techniques to pull and twist elegant frozen inspired forms. Fun to make, beautiful to hang, and perfect to keep or gift.
Blown Glass Ornaments
This workshop is a fun introductory experience into hot glassblowing. Each participant will make two blown glass ornaments, perfect for trimming the tree, gifting to someone special, or adding a little sparkle to your space all year long.
Sandblasted Pumpkins
At the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with both of your sandblasted pumpkins, ready to display or give as gifts. One pumpkin has an opening at the base, perfect for adding fairy lights (not included) to create a glowing seasonal luminary.
Fused Glass House Number or Name Plaque
Give your home a creative welcome. In this introductory workshop, design a custom fused glass plaque featuring your house number or family name. With guidance from a skilled instructor, you’ll learn how to cut and assemble colorful sheet glass into a mosaic-style panel. Once you design it, we’ll fire it in the kiln so all the pieces become one, a bold one-of-a-kind marker for your home.

Make-It-Now: Fused Glass Ornament
Celebrate the season with color and creativity! In this fun fused glass experience, you’ll use colorful glass granules (frit) and thin glass rods (stringers) to design and make your own vibrant glass ornament. Whether festive, whimsical, or winter-inspired, your handmade creation will add a little sparkle to any tree, window, or holiday display.
Once your design is complete, we’ll fire it in the kiln so all the pieces fuse together into a beautiful finished ornament. Create a one-of-a-kind keepsake and bring a little extra glow to the season!
Make-It-Now experiences offer a quick, hands-on introduction to the colorful world of kilnformed glass. In the kiln shop, you’ll learn from a skilled local artist how to design and assemble your own glass creation using glass frit and stringers. In less than an hour, explore how layers of glass come together to form vibrant patterns and images of your own design. Perfect for beginners, these quick experiences let you discover the beauty of working with glass at your own pace and with no heat.
Ages 5+
Adult supervision is required for any children under 14 years old.
Due to the nature of hot glass, items cannot be taken home the same day they are created. All items made in the kiln shop must be heated and fused in the kiln, then cooled slowly. Items are available for pick-up after 5 days. Shipping can be arranged on site the day of your activity.
