Stained Glass Twinkle Lights

PGC 241 Brighten up the season with handmade glass. In this introductory workshop, you’ll explore the fundamentals of stained glass while creating a colorful set of festive light bulb decorations. Under the guidance of a skilled instructor, you’ll learn glass cutting, the copper foiling method, and soldering.

Using colorful sheet glass and traditional stained glass techniques, you'll assemble a series of two-dimensional stained glass bulbs that can be strung together as cheerful seasonal décor or used individually as ornaments and gift toppers. Each finished piece brings a playful pop of color and handmade sparkle to the holidays. Each participant will make up to 3 bulbs.

Stained Glass Snowflake

Learn the art of stained glass while creating your very own glass snowflake. Students will work with pre-cut glass, bevels and gems wrapping each component in metal to then join them together with molten solder. Use these dazzling snowflakes to decorate your home for the winter season or catch the light in your window all year round.

Blown Glass Pumpkins

Carve out some fun with molten glass pumpkins. In this introductory workshop, you’ll gather glowing molten glass from the 2,100°F furnace and add colors of your choice. Then guided by a skilled instructor, you will blow and sculpt it into beautiful pumpkins with curly stems. This workshop is a fun introductory experience into hot glassblowing. Each participant will make two blown pumpkins, perfect for harvesting compliments at home, gifting to a loved one, or adding a decorative touch to any space.

 

 

Due to the nature of hot glass, your items will be available for pickup 5 days after your activity.

Flamecicles

PGC 167 Catch the winter light. In this introductory workshop, create shimmering glass flamecicles using a 3,000°F torch. Guided by a skilled instructor, learn torch basics and explore shaping techniques to pull and twist elegant frozen inspired forms. Fun to make, beautiful to hang, and perfect to keep or gift.

Stained Glass Bevel Ornament

PGC 233 Add a little sparkle to your decor. In this introductory workshop, you’ll explore the fundamentals of stained glass techniques as you create a beautiful ornament. Under the guidance of a skilled instructor, you’ll use pre-cut and beveled edge glass with traditional stained glass lead came and solder to assemble your shiny work of art. Perfect for gifting, hanging on the tree, or adding a little sparkle to your space all year long.

Blown Glass Shabbat Candle Holders

Illuminate your rituals with the beauty of blown glass. In this introductory workshop, you will gather glass from the 2,100°F furnace and add colors of your choice. Then, guided by a skilled instructor, you’ll blow and shape the glass into elegant Shabbat candle holders, designed to reflect and amplify the warmth of candlelight.

This workshop is a fun introduction to hot glassblowing. Each participant will create a pair of blown glass candle holders perfect for marking Shabbat, celebrating tradition, or bringing a meaningful, handmade glow into your home.

Fused Glass Hanukkiah

PGC 191 Create a glowing centerpiece for your Hanukkah celebrations in this introductory fused glass workshop. Under the guidance of a skilled instructor, you’ll learn to cut sheet glass and combine it with frit (colored glass granules) and stringers (thin colored glass rods) to design a one-of-a-kind handmade Hanukkiah. Once your design is complete, we’ll fire it in the kiln to fuse everything together into a beautiful and functional work of glass art ready to display and use throughout the holiday season. Whether your style is traditional, modern, or playful, your finished piece will bring handmade warmth and color to your celebrations for years to come.
